Full Moon w/Nikon 70-300 ED on D50 - manual exposure

Sure enough, using a Nikon D50 and setting the exposure manually allowed us to get this snap this morning of the near-full moon, showing crater detail this time (unlike yesterday), once again from a corner of the new patio. The Nikon was mounted on our very lightweight Quantaray tripod, which seemed to hold it just fine.

I’m guessing the Lumix’ lens has similar quality, but I’d have had to dig out its manual to figure out how to get into manual exposure mode – something I knew how to do on the Nikon. Nikon D50 with 70-300mm f4 – 5.6 AF ED Nikkor; 300 (420)mm, 160th second at f5.6. Nikon’s ED lenses are sharp, too…
