Macworld: Human Eyes 3D

Human Eyes 3D

Izzy Bromberg was kind enough to demo Human Eyes’ Creative3D application for me recently. Creative3D can quickly make 3D out of 2D and add animation that plays back in lenticular 3D creations – those plastic thingies that you used to get in Crackerjack boxes. Nowadays lenticular pieces can be wall-sized displays in airports or fine-grained business cards. Creative3D appears to be the app to extend your projects into this medium…

Thanks for the updates. seems like a real cool technology that can drive my business on to new applications. I downloaded and started playing with it. I could not believe how easy it was to operate. will order some lenses from HumanEyes and show some cool samples to my customers. am sure they will love them, and love me…

I need to try HumanEyes’s Market Place for prodcing 3D projects.

    Regarding 3D lenticular:

The Human Eyes software is expensive for what can be done with Photoshop actions.  For the past 10 years we have inspired and trained many 3D artists in the use of lenticular. Each year at the Siggraph convention, I’ve trained many professionals and students at the Guerilla Studio, taking 2D images and easily converting them to layered Photoshop files.

This is a quick and creative process using Photoshops selection tools to layer the picture file- then running scripted photoshop actions that interlace the layers into 4- to 10 layers of depth.

I just want readers to know that this is not a mystery, and is much easier than even Human Eyes software- those that have photoshop, and an interest in 3D. Call Microlens technology to order your own 40 or 60lpi lenses, and you too can make these images. I can supply the actions for a small fee, which helps pay for more lenses that I bring each year to the studio.

    Dear Raleigh,

We, at HumanEyes, highly appreciate the skills and abilities of lenticular specialists such as yourself. We are also well aware that given the right skills and the considerable amount of time needed to do it, lenticular content may also be created using PhotoShop. However, this has not been successful in turning lenticular into a mainstream medium, used by creative professionals, and left lenticular in the domain of specialists such as yourself. We hope, and see success in “democratizing” lenticular by enabling regular designers (who cannot afford the time to learn and practice the PhotoShop workflow) to enter lenticular creativity and be able to easily get their creation produced by commercial printers who use the HumanEyes productivity tools.

Our Creative software cost $299 (significantly less than PhotoShop…) and untill the end of January, you can get the special MacWorld promotion and buy it for $199. You may also download a fully operational trial for 60 day, free of charge.

I hope you try and enjoy, as many others do.

    With best regards,
