Le Moulin de Lhomont, la vie en compagne

Les vaches voisines - our neighbor cowsWe awoke late this morning, after yesterday’s marathon travels, and arrived at the boulanger in Montpont after they’d sold out of croissants: we made do with a loaf of the local pain Montponnais which went nicely with yogurt, oranges and good French coffee, brewed in a press.

We took some time to meet the neighbors, pictured, having headed out to reconnoiter our immediate environs, with the goal of winding up at Lyon d’Or, a recommended restaurant in the village of Romenay for lunch. Lunch was leisurely, and the food was very good..
