Tonight, the blog went to church, honest

taize_candles_vSo, the last time the blog was MIA in the P.M., there was talk of “a beer” followed some hours later by a phone call to the bar (at Madera, it can now be told) and rumors of possible impropriety.

Tonight, however, the blog was right there in the seat next to me in the chapel at Holy Trinity in Menlo Park, as we attended a candle-lit Taizé service. Four very fine musicians provided a beautiful accompaniment to the Taizé Freres’ simple, partly chanted and partly meditative service. None of the blog-hos were anywhere to be seen… think they’re kind of skittish about stuff like this…

I feel relieved and, indeed, more hopeful knowing that the blog, following its somewhat questionable behavior recently, felt it was important to come to church. Not that I’m suggesting that the two are necessarily connected–but, anyway, good of you to invite the blog to the service. Perhaps we should have a “bring your blog to church” day.

    Father Matthew-

I think you and I need to plunge into that den of iniquity to see what can be done to save those souls. Maybe we can grab a beer while we’re there…

Absolutely, Chris! This definitely calls for further research–the on the ground, in person type of research. I’m there!

At $1500, it’s 3x the cost of our last laptop, not to mention the cost of the obligatory phone & Leica camera every Apple fan must have. It’s like reading about a parallel universe or a Goldman Sachs tabloid. Suspect most of Apple’s money comes from the government foodchain & not from private sector slaves.
